Postdoc Position
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher. The project is devoted to transmembrane proteins reconstituted lipid membranes. Expertise in molecular biology techniques, protein expression and purification is required. Knowledge of lipid bilayer methods, patch-clamp, tip-dip method, or preparation of liposomes ready for patch-clamping is a plus. Single-molecule optical and electrical recordings on transmembrane pores for probing (bio)polymeric molecules will be used.
Research Assistant Position
We have an opening for a research assistant position to work on reconstituted bilayers and whole cells using patch-clamp techniques.
Undergraduate Research Policy
This research group only accepts undergraduate researchers, who are willing and able to commit a significant laboratory time. Such activity could be either an intense summer learning experience and/or 10-20 hours weekly during the academic year for at least two years. The undergraduate student is expected to finalize at least part of a project and provide a fully documented written summary of his/her work as well as a poster or an oral presentation.
